"We visited Woodland Hills for the first time in January, 2005. We'd been looking for a retirement location for 2 or 3 years previously. Within our first hour in Woodland hills (at its barest and starkest, in full winter), we decided to move here, liked one of the few homes for sale, and made an offer. We haven't been disappointed. Last summer the high-water mark of deer in our backyard at one time was 19. Initially, we were attracted by the beautiful natural setting. Before long, however, we realized that the greatest treasures in Woodland Hills are our neighbors!"

"In Woodland Hills we're far enough away from that which we wish to escape, yet close enough to remain connected. This sums it up for us. We trade the noise, pollution and traffic for a chickadee's song, fresh mountain air, and stroll at dusk when we come home from work each evening. We purchased our lot eleven years ago and never looked back. After all, where else can you look out your window and see a new born fawn, coax a hummingbird to sit on your finger, or witness a herd of elk returning home at dawn?"

"We were attracted to Woodland Hills by the beauty of its terrain and wildlife.  To be grateful we've settled here, all we need do is look out any window.  We look north upon the whole of Utah Valley, Utah Lake, Mount Timpanogos and (on a clear day) all the way to Antelope Island.  South is the towering majesty of Mount Loafer.  Look anywhere else, and it's the maples and oaks, deer, antelope, pheasants, and hummingbirds.  A favorite pastime is sitting on the porth watching the wildlife.  But aside from all this, the central factor in our happiness here is the acceptance, friendship, and expressions of community by our neighbors.  Our neighbors feel like family.  Once each month we have a scheduled neighborhood dinner party wihere everyone is invited, and on every single day it's hand waving, hello's, stops for chats, date-nights with neighbors, and visits at the mailboxes."
